Pet Release Policy : Studs In Suds Mobile Pet Grooming & Connecticut State Law requires your pet(s) to have current rabies vaccination for each pet being groomed. Please confirm that your pet(s) are current on their rabies vaccinations & that the rabies certificate is available for inspection. While Studs In Suds Mobile Pet Grooming adheres to a stringent sanitation procedure for all vans & equipment, we also strongly advise that each pet be vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza adenovirus type 2, parvovirus, corona, leptospirosis, & bordetella prior to grooming.
Studs In Suds Mobile Pet Grooming has the right to refuse grooming for any pet that may be a threat to itself or any person. If we are not able to take a cat out of its carrier or muzzle a dog that may bite, then we may have to refuse it for its own protection & ours. A pet undergoing a great amount of stress may injure themselves or escape. It is the responsibility of the owner/caretaker of the pet to disclose all known medical issues of the pets being groomed.
Authorization for Shaving a Pet and /or Flea & Tick Treatment : Shaving a pet often exposes pre-existing skin conditions. If an animal is badly matted, we may find sores & tender skin under the mats. Many times the skin is so sore that the clippers may cut the skin, especially while removing mats from cats as they have very thin skin. There is no way to avoid this however slow or careful we are.
The AKC does not recommend short haircuts or shave-downs of double-coated dogs. Please understand that if you elect to proceed, the fur may not grow back with the same look or texture.
At your request, we also use natural & commercial, Vet-approved products & procedures to treat your pet for fleas & ticks. Some pets are sensitive to these products & may experience an allergic or other reaction that could be serious. If we notice any problems with your pet, you will be notified immediately. Studs In Suds Mobile Pet Grooming is not responsible for any adverse reactions pets may have to owner-provided shampoos, conditioners or other products.
Your Consent is required to perform these services I am the owner/caregiver of this/these pet(s), & I have read & understood the foregoing cautions, listed above. I realize that pet grooming may cause injury or allergic or other reaction to my pet(s), but I desire to have Studs In Suds Mobile Pet Grooming perform the grooming. Therefore, I consent to & authorize the grooming of my pet(s) & I release Studs In Suds Mobile Pet Grooming, its employees, franchisees or other representatives, from any responsibility or liability arising out of the performance of these services.
